October 27, FURTADOS presents PRS (Paul Reed Smith) Guitar Night

Featuring an in-depth workshop by veteran guitarist and longtime PETA supporter Ravi Iyer from Vayu followed by live performances by Old Monks and Groovelab, it is all happening at BX Furtado & Sons, the music shop in Dhobi Talao opposite Metro Cinema (Marine Lines). The event begins at 6pm and there is no entry charge. Apart from all this, there will be loads of freebies and prizes including PRS T-shirts, DVD Videos, Planet Waves guitar accessories and FREE concert tickets to This Way featuring Skinny Alley and Thermal and a Quarter.

Animal Power

Generations taught the next that animals were gold,

Then why do we betray them when they get old!

It is considered wrong and bad when a child betrays it s father and mother.

But when an animal gets betrayed people hardly bother!

Without eating meat your brains won t rust,

Then why not turn vegetarian when non-veg is not a must!

Just for a wild moment think how an animal must feel,

If he was put on fire to become someone s meal.

Animals are silent listeners, who tolerate all our fuss,

Don t you think this butcher s mentality doesn t suit us.

Promise me you will treat them as brothers and sisters

And I will keep on spreading this message of love to others and

Others.
